The Huguenot Monument at the end of the main street in Franschoek.
We found this lizard in the old graveyard, just pottering about. It looks like a blue headed agama but it has lost its tail.

Haute Cabriere winery with it's fabulous view of the Franschhoek Valley. The sundial represents the four things that go to make good wine: sun, soil, vine and man.
If you are lucky enough to visit when Achim von Arnim, the famed proprietor, is present you may be treated to a display of sabrage, when he lops the top off the champagne bottles with an historic sabre.

At the Delaire Graff Estate they have some very posh tasting rooms and an exclusive restaurant. The vines stretch out across the hillside surrounded by rugged mountains.

Boschendal Manor House 1812
Beautifully restored and showing some lovely original features of a house of that period. It is built as an H-shape and has yellowwood ceilings, floorboards and doors set in teak frames.
